The Project

How it began

As an artist, working in community engagement inspired me to found the Love Notes project in 2017, with the mission of encouraging positivity and healing through art. The hope is to empower people to connect with their inner strength, change the narrative and to practice love as a daily mantra. To help people recognize their untapped inner strength, resilience, and transformation to through the power of artistic expression. I aspire to create safer spaces for people to gather, create and connect with one another around the most powerful human quality – love.

As part of this project, I host an annual event in collaboration with Arts Commons where poets flirt with painters, dancers and musicians, creating a love note to Calgary and sharing it with the universe and beyond.

Art is beyond the person creating it; it is the gift of giving.

I'm here to serve, through my words, through my offerings. I am here to help you find moments in your life to call your own, where you can take charge of your healing by bringing you closer to the lost creativity inside. No matter what your dreams or obstacles are, you have the power to change your life and your world.

Join me on my journey as I follow my curiosity. Let’s uncover new depths within us together. I’d love to learn more about you.

“I have had the great pleasure of working with Harpreet on a number of cabarets for Arts Commons over the past two years, and am still impressed and touched by the level of kindness, consideration, and rigour she demonstrates in not only shaping events but in her own artistic work as well. Harpreet’s commitment to love as a balm for the world’s ills is inspiring for artists and audiences alike, and I have witnessed and been blessed to be a part of the genuine care and sense of community that she builds.”
